Craig is the Owner and Founder of Ardent Fireworks, bringing over 25 years of experience to every display he designs. As the main person you’ll speak to when booking, he combines expert knowledge with a personalised touch, scripting shows that perfectly suit each event. Craig treats every booking as unique, whether it’s an intimate garden party or a large public spectacle. When he’s in the shop he can often be found hunting for a cup of coffee he’s abandoned somewhere, but despite the caffeine detours his attention to detail and friendly approach make the whole process effortless for customers.

Layne is our Senior Firer, part of the Ardent crew for over 15 years, whose creativity and mischievous sense of humour make him both a brilliant designer and the team prankster. With an impeccable eye for detail he ensures displays flow seamlessly with no awkward gaps, every cue timed to perfection, and he’s happiest when the finale brings a thunderous cheer from the crowd. Dependable, inventive and endlessly enthusiastic, Layne keeps standards high and spirits higher on every job.

Quietly brilliant and endlessly cheerful, Gary is the one who keeps every display performing perfectly. He services and updates all our kit, runs background checks, and makes sure every firing system and safety device is ready to go. When a show needs a tweak or a new effect, Gary’s full of fresh ideas and practical solutions that make the spectacular possible.

Brett is always ready with ideas, and if something needs building, fixing or upgrading, he’s there to do it. He’ll sketch a solution, roll up his sleeves and make it happen, whether that’s adapting a display for a tricky site, repairing kit between jobs or improving equipment to make it safer and more spectacular.

All this he fits in between driving the vans and running shows. Dependable, practical and hands‑on, Brett makes sure every detail works, so your celebration goes off without a hitch.

When she isn’t wiring your displays, Ewelina is a highly talented nail technician and she brings that same precision and glamour to our team. Her eye for detail means every effect is lined up perfectly and every finish looks immaculate. Friendly, meticulous and creative, she turns every job into a little work of art. She may be small, but she is more than capable of keeping the rest of the team focused and in line.

Contrary to popular belief, he is not Ed Sheeran. He’s one of our regulars at Ardent Fireworks, a familiar face at our displays and expert on all our products in the Pocklington shop. Always happy to help, you’ll find him throughout November offering friendly, knowledgeable product and safety advice to every customer. He’s also partial to a good flapjack, if that’s the sort of thing you’d like to know.
